Summer of BreakoutEdu: Part 1

The estimated reading time for this post is 0 minutes

One of the most satisfying BreakoutEdu experiences this summer has been building games for students in the hybrid Expository Reading and Writing pilot course at Saddleback High School.

We designed games for the Juvenile Justice module, the What’s Next module, and the Good Food, Bad Food module. In addition, we are adapting a journalism-themed game designed by Deborah Park of Mendez Fundamental Intermediate School and Bryan, TOSA for 21st Century Learning, to work with the Rhetoric of the Op-Ed Page module. It’s been quite a fruitful summer in terms of game development. Looking forward to helping ERWC classrooms experience these games this year!
