This was the initial post after we had brainstormed the idea for consistently codifying our commitment to include musical and rhythmic approaches in all of our hybrid course materials. We quickly saw the value of setting strategic bits of content to music for students. A mainstay of our hybrid courses is video content – from videos of SAUSD teachers delivering instruction to curated videos from TED talks to Crash Course. For in-house video productions, we have the ability to produce soundtracks that not only include music, but also reinforce strategic academic language. We needed a way to refer to these approaches and refer to this unique element of our hybrid courses.
