This morning I met with Tom Morris at McFadden Intermediate School to discuss his role with Team 21C and learn about his passions, interests, and aptitudes. We actually use a stronger word than those: affirmations.
What does Tom affirm about himself? How is he uniquely Tom?
Those were some of our key questions. We talked for a while and explored what he’s been up to at McFadden. The dialogue was good. The coffee was strong. He’s going to be working with us this year and he’s starting by drafting affirmations and goals for his professional learning. This will serve him – and us – as a way to test out personalized learning plans as we seek those for students.
The morning was beautiful. In more ways than one.
