Coffee is Magic

Yesterday afternoon, Jessica and I were toast; the inspiration and energy had left the office. Jessica said that she needed some coffee. I agreed. Jessica informed me that Amy Holte could help us out with a cup of Joe. We cruised on over to her office, connected for a few minutes, and finally retreated with coffee in hand. Within just a few minutes, the conversation took flight; we were back. We were able to come up with a plan that would further promote the role of social engagement into hybrid courses. The coffee did it’s job, and we were thankful for Amy. I also should mention Dawn Aguila, Lyn Lee, and Jason Crabbe, as they all have recently hooked me up with coffee. Also, Jeff McEntee was my coffee guy at Mendez. Thank you all so much. And thank you coffee just for being you; keep on doing what you’re doing.

I recently read 360 degree leader by John Maxwell who suggested that leaders walk slowly through the halls. By walking slowly he suggests that leaders can connect with their peers and those they lead by happening to bump into them, overhear conversations they can provide assistant or insight on etc, or just say hello to further rapport. Perhaps your Coffee Crusades are the next ( and much more tasty) evolution of the “walk slowly through the halls” theory.

In our office which we’re lovingly deemed The Office of College, Career, and Community Readiness, we always have starburst or chocolate for your after coffee pleasure. Perhaps we’ll add after coffee mints to the mix 🙂 Stop by anytime.
